I live in Singapore and lecture in the creative writing and publishing graduate program at Nanyang Technological University, but have also taught at the high school, undergraduate, and community college levels. In 2007, my now-ex-wife (a Singaporean citizen) and I decided to move to Singapore from the US. For the most part, I enjoyed my classes, as well as my extra-curriculars, which in high school consisted of marching band, French club, and physics club. It's possible that, in the 30 years since graduating from high school, my memories have become rose-colored, but I do remember feeling like I had a good balance between my school life and my personal life. The House passed the Transparency in Charges for Key Events Ticketing Act on Wednesday in an effort to increase price transparency for consumers. The TICKET Act would require sellers to list the total cost of a ticket to buyers, including fees. The bill would prohibit deceptive websites used by secondary sellers and require sellers to provide refunds if an event is canceled. There is a related bill in the Senate, also called the TICKET Act, that seeks to give consumers similar protections. The TICKET Act was first introduced by Rep. Gus Bilirakis, R-Fla., in June 2023.

It also saw losses nearly double to 4.1 billion yuan ($567 million) from 2.2 billion a year ago as it invested heavily to remain price competitive and shorten delivery times.

Shareholders have since voted to making the NYSE the primary listing for the stock rather than London, and that change is slated to take effect May 31. UBS analyst Ben Shelley said in a May 9 note to clients that the primary listing change could help close those gaps. Flutter is not the only company in recent years to shift its primary listing to the U.S., and the track records of those companies could be a positive sign for Flutter.
